Welcome to 2 Stanhope Hall, Bed and Breakfast, part of Stanhope Old hall, an original Medieval Manor house situated in the village of Stanhope in County Durham.

A warm welcome from Diane and Steve awaits guests to our family home where we aim to offer an excellent personal service throughout your stay with us.

Situated in its own grounds Stanhope Old Hall, which dates back over 800 years to the 12th Century, offers our guests an opportunity to enjoy a stay in an historic Grade Two* listed part of the original hall. 2 Stanhope Hall B & B is located in the centre of Stanhope Old Hall.

Stanhope is situated near the source of the River Wear within the area known as Weardale. This is a landscape of high, wild heather moorland and green settled dales, with tumbling rivers and waterfalls, an internationally important biodiversity and geology and a rich historic environment. Weardale and the surrounding moorland is rated as `An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty`.

Stanhope itself, the `capital of Weardale` is a charming dales village with a friendly and welcoming community and is only a few minutes’ walk from 2 Stanhope Hall.

There are a selection of shops ranging from the local grocery store, butcher, baker, greengrocer, tea rooms to gift shops and public houses. If you have travelled by car there is a lovely Italian restaurant in nearby Wolsingham, as well as pubs offering food in nearby villages.

For those who enjoy being outdoors and active you can find the tranquil waters of the River Wear running through the village, providing an idyllic backdrop to your stay.
